Warwick
Troop 51 is famous for having built our Adirondack Chairs in
the spring of 2000. The chairs were so well made, it wasn't until
September 2005 they needed to be re-painted.
On
Friday (the first evening) sleeping tents and a mess tent are
set up alongside Preservation Wall at Rose Island. A good night's
sleep is needed for all the work to be done on Saturday.
Scouts
gather and count beach debris twice a year on Earth Day (April)
and in September (Get the Drift and Bag It). The trash is taken
into Newport for proper disposal.
"Never Dull" Scout
leader Bob Davis is pictured here polishing the brass plaques
as the Adirondack chairs were being carefully washed, scraped,
sanded, filled, primed and painted by the second generation of
Warwick Troop 51 scouts.
Painting chairs in the
barracks building.
Evening reward: Singing around
the campfire.
Thank you Warwick Troop
51 for another job WELL DONE!!
